Spec Partner Program

Specify us, and the number you specified is still there at bid.

For architects working on multifamily and custom residential projects with high-performance window and door systems. Registered specifications are price-protected for ninety days, so value engineering has nothing to attack.

Why it exists

The risk isn't specifying us. It's watching the spec get substituted.

You write a performance envelope, the project goes to bid, and someone proposes an equivalent that isn't. This program exists to make that argument harder to win.

Price protection

Register a specification and your quoted pricing holds for ninety days. Thirty days without registration.

A spec section you can use

CSI-format Section 08 5000 with LuxHaus as basis of design, written around performance thresholds rather than a product name.

The full documentation set

CAD details, Revit families, and the Passive House pack — THERM calculations, PHI and PHIUS data, NFRC ratings.

Projects referred to you

Homeowners and developers who reach us without an architect are matched to partner firms by region and project type.

Specification registration

Register the spec, and the price stops moving.

Send us the project and the openings while you're still drawing. From that point our pricing on that specification is held for ninety days — through the bid cycle, through value engineering, through the conversation where someone asks whether there's something cheaper.

Registration is free, unlimited, and takes about a minute. Unregistered projects are quoted with a thirty-day hold.

Ninety days, registered Your quoted pricing is honoured for the full window, subject to scope changes.
Thirty days, unregistered Still quoted, still supported — just without the protection registration adds.
We hold the line with the contractor When a GC asks about a registered project, the number they get is the number you specified.

What you receive

Everything you need to draw it, specify it, and defend it.

Sent directly by our technical team on approval, with a shared folder for your firm that stays current as documentation is updated.

To draw it

Design and documentation

  • CAD details in DWG — jamb, head, sill, and mulled conditions
  • Revit families for the system types you're working with
  • Profile geometry and sightline dimensions
  • Triple-pane glazing configurations, 48mm to 56mm

To specify it

Section 08 5000

  • Three-part CSI format, ready for your project manual
  • LuxHaus written as basis of design
  • Performance criteria rather than product names — so an equivalence claim has to be demonstrated, not asserted
  • Reviewed against your project by our technical team on request

To certify it

Envelope and energy modelling

  • THERM calculations and WINDOW simulation data
  • PHI-certified profiles and PHIUS-compatible thermal specifications
  • LBNL-compatible files for EnergyPlus and WUFI
  • NFRC ratings for permit and energy-code submission
  • Documentation supporting LEED, WELL, and Living Building Challenge submissions

Every system is Passive House suitable or certified, triple-pane as standard, and fabricated to your exact opening dimensions at our factory partners in Germany, Italy, and Poland. Nothing is cut to fit on site.

Two things worth saying plainly

No fee, and no CEU credits.

There is no payment of any kind to specifying architects. Your recommendation should rest on whether the product is right for the building, and a fee from a supplier is not something we want sitting inside that judgement.

We also don't run accredited continuing-education sessions. We do run technical working sessions — in person or by video, with the people actually drawing the project — covering system selection, thermal strategy, and detailing for your specific envelope. They carry no credits and they're considerably more useful.

Multifamily and custom residential The projects we're built for. We don't supply commercial office or institutional work.
Estimates within one week From drawings or an opening schedule, at no cost, whether or not the spec is registered.
